Plano, Texas, March 25, 2015 – As part of an ongoing volunteer initiative aimed at supporting local charities and other nonprofit organizations, RamQuest, Inc. A leading title and settlement solutions provider for the land title industry, selected Minnie’s Food Pantry as its most recent recipient. In addition to sponsoring an entire food truck, RamQuest associates collected items for the food pantry and almost 60% of the RamQuest team volunteered their time and spent three consecutive mornings in late February serving Minnie’s clients.
"The RamQuest group is a crown jewel in our community who is committed to public service and a perfect example of teamwork. RamQuest is a great advocate of Minnie's, and I appreciate their dedication in creating a hunger free community," commented Erica Simon, director of operations for Minnie’s Food Pantry.
RamQuest team members worked together for three weeks, gathering 1,576 non-perishable food items in a company-wide food drive. Additionally, over the course of three days, 44 RamQuest associates volunteered at Minnie’s Food Pantry, spending their time unloading trucks, sorting non-perishable items, and serving that day’s clients. As part of serving Minnie’s clients, several RamQuest team members spent time with those who received aid, ensuring that they experienced Minnie’s red carpet treatment by serving them snacks while they waited and helping carry their food to their cars.
To date, Minnie’s Food Pantry has provided food to over 200,000 people in the Plano community and distributed over 3.4 million meals. For more information, visit www.MinniesFoodPantry.org.
